 CERTIFIED MOLD INSPECTOR
The
latest
classification
designated
by
the
EPA
was
in
November
2005.
That
is,
the
designation
of
Environmental
Professionals
(EP).
These
consultants
must
have
federal
or
state
certifications
and
have
had
to
be
environmental
assessors
or
consultants
for
at
least
ten
years.
All
of
our
microbic
specialists
would
qualify
as
a
certified
mold
inspector
if,
in
fact,
there
was
such
a
mandated
designation,
which
there
isn’t
at
this
time.
However,
indications
are
that
it
may
be
coming
in
the
near
future.
If
someone
is
seeking
a
certified
mold
inspector,
they
should
be
looking
for
a
trained
certified
Environmental
Professional
(EP)
with
years
of
dedicated
experience
who
takes
refresher
courses
every
year
on
environmental
issues,
such
as
lead
paint,
dust,
or
asbestos-containing
materials
in
the
renovations
of
older
buildings.
