Meruliporia
Incrassata
Serpula
Lacrymans
or
“Poria,”
is
the
house
heating
fungus.
This
species
of
toxic
yellow
mold
is
not
to
be
confused
with
“Poria
Incrassata”
or
“Merulis
Lacrymans,”
(dry
rot),
which
is
a
notorious
parasite.
However,
they
cohabitate.
The
toxic
yellow
mold,
Alaxotin
Aspergillus
Flavus
is
the
fungus
Saprophyte
that
can
live
on
dead
organic
matter.
It
has
not
been
a
proven
allergenic
or
toxic
species
to
human
beings.
Toxic
yellow
mold
is
very
harmful
to
plants
and
shrubbery.
Windless,
shady
sides
of
structures,
and
humid
damp
environments
are
where
toxic
yellow
thrive
and
can
be
found.
The
spores
may
survive
for
many
years,
which
cause
gardeners
to
use
ever-increasing
amounts
of
toxins
for
controlling
toxic
yellow
mold.
Products
such
as
Diaxinon,
which
was
banned
in
January
2006
as
an
inhalation
nerve
agent
hazard,
are
on
the
#EPA’s
banned
list.
Toxic
yellow
mold
thrives
on
windless
and
shady
sides
of
structures
and
in
a
damp
and
humid
environment.
